Wow! Have we had a day, but I will tell you all about it tomorrow.

I wrote this this morning before our eventful day and never got this published. At least you know we are all right, because I am writing this 😛

I made up a Google calendar to show our availability this summer. So far, we have Phill and Martha (June), The Cearleys (August), and John and Julie (August) booked this year. So, if you are on the fence, get off already 🙂 We pretty much have July 9 – August 8th free. If you can’t make it this year, we will also be in Alaska for six months next year as well. You are also welcome between now and June 5th, but that would be a Canadian vacation.

It rained pretty hard yesterday until late afternoon. The sun came out and it was glorious. We happened to be walking through the woods from the bus stop, and the scent of the spring flowers was SO delightful. It was so fresh and golden. This is definitely what we signed up for! The wind never did materialize, the highest I saw it was six knots. When we were in town, we heard on the radio that there were big winds. Good thing we can only stay here two weeks, or we might just stay at Tod Inlet until we leave for Alaska. That would be a shame as there is so much to explore!

Beer stop – I don’t know that I have ever seen a jumbo carrot before! This photo does not do them justice.

After a few loads of laundry, we headed to Sherwood Marine to get a part for the new fuel tank to hook up to the fuel line. (and no, we haven’t been able to find them at any marine store we have been to so far) success! We also went to BC Liquor to buy some beer and next door to the co-op for some groceries.

After our errands, we stopped by a local Brewery. We could not believe it, we know two people in Canada and one of them was in the brewery! (Paul – we think it was a business meeting) Haha. Small world. I was disappointed that they did not have any NA beer, but they did have hop water! Which I love! So win/win.

PaNNTOA (the boat owners’ social club that we belong to) hosted a webinar last night that I tuned in for. Paper charts are being phased out this year, and there is a custom chartmaking tool online that you can print your own. The webinar was on how to use that tool. It was well worth tuning in for.

We have paused our regular programming to watch “The Chosen” during Holy Week. It is not without controversy, but I LOVE how Dallas Jenkins brings Jesus to life and it is so well done. Most Christian films are kind of cheesy and off-putting. (sorry to say, and whyyyy?) You can watch all 3 seasons on Prime. Or on Angel network. Season 4 is in theatres right now (a bit of the controversy) and won’t be streaming for a while yet. I think the other big controversy is that he hires actors based on their talent and they may or may not be followers of Christ. Haha, how dare he.

Jim had to clean the jellies out of sea strainers before starting up the generator this morning. Ew. Remember when we had little shrimp in the strainers?

Not sure what the Captain has planned today. We want to get our fishing gear in order (we can start fishing April 1st!) We also need to do some studying. We couldn’t attend the 2 day Alaska seminar, so we are working our way through the workbook. There is A LOT of information!

Time to get on with our day.

Talk Soon.
