We rented some scooters on Galiano. What a fun day! We went to the farmer’s market, drove the entire length of the island, grocery shopped, got drenched in a rainstorm (okay, that was not so fun 😛 ), and putzed around. Highly recommend Galiano Adventures scooter rental if you are in the area.
It was supposed to be an easy cruise back to Van Isle. We are familiar with the area, the winds were not picking up until later, and the current was mostly in our favor. We were up and at ’em in plenty of time, but for some reason, the traffic out and about was hell-bent on severely waking us or running us over. Also, we drove from inside because it rained most of the trip. The visibility is not as good. But here we are tucked in safe and sound. Supposed to be super windy the next few days.
Brief pause for the blog.

Here is a map from the Waggoner website ( https://waggonerguide.com/2024-waggoner-guided-flotilla-ketchikan-alaska/ ) It is roughly 800 miles, 24 days, and 140 engine hours.
We’ll spend the next few days doing chores and checking things off our list.
As the blog’s cheesy title says, “Living the Dream, writing it down to remember it later” we make these blogs into a keepsake book. This will be the last post for Book 2. My mom doesn’t have internet, so we send them to her house to enjoy until we’re home.
Talk Soon.
Looking forward to hearing/seeing your Alaska adventures! We’re living vicariously through you!
