Short post today. We are heading to Bedwell Harbour. Plans are in the works to possibly fly home for a few days soon, so we don’t want to wander too far. In the meantime, we need a grocery store and there is one within walking distance there.
So, after church, we head out. Yesterday we had a windstorm blow in. Steady 15-20 knots with gusts of 30 for about an hour. We held steady. Although I knew we were well set, I was a little nervous. No need. Our Canadian friends checked in to see how we fared. Our other friends headed by on their way to Vancouver. They need some work done on their boat. I caught a glimpse of them through the binos.
We kept busy though. I defrosted both of the fridges. Jim washed the flybridge cushions and the dinghy which was getting severely crusted in salt.
An Aspen came into the anchorage late afternoon and headed straight for the rocks. We watched nervously. They came to a quick stop and then backed away. That was close!
We played some games, had some borscht, and watched The Jerk. Recently we watched a Steve Martin documentary and decided to rewatch his films. My favorite of his is Roxanne.
Well, time to shower before church and then take a cruise. Winds are dying down and it looks to be a lovely day.
Talk Soon.
