We had some excitement here on Friday. We looked out the window and a sailboat was hard on the ground! We watched C-Tow pull him off. We felt sick to our stomachs for him. The operation was a success and it “appeared” that he did not experience any damage, at least he didn’t sink! Were you worried when you read the title that it was us?
We took advantage of having our truck with us and went to church in Victoria at Coastline. That was the same church we went to for Easter. I wanted to check out the Victoria Public Market. Luckily, it was a 5-minute walk from the church. If you google it, read about it, and then go, it does not live up to the hype! We ate lunch there though. We had several options and chose Indian. Wow, it was beyond delicious. Jim had butter chicken with zero spice level and I thought well that is going to be hohum. I tried some and boy was I wrong. We had fresh homemade garlic naans as well.
Remember when I told you that Canadian Tire is Canada’s WalMart? I lied. It has to be the Real Canadian Superstore. Coincidentally, we could see WalMart from RCS.
We parked our truck and took the bus back. We decided to stay one extra night as it was still going to be a bit windy.
Monday morning we had some breakfast, did some chores and got underway by 10:30. We basically are just putzing around this local area until June 4th when we go park the boat again at Van Isle and take off for 10 days.
We have a few goals before we head to Alaska, so while we are on the hook we will be doing those chores. One of them is to get this stupid toilet working properly. We are within inches of getting a composting toilet.
Notice the theme in the photos? It has been very overcast, rainy, gloomy, windy. But, we still are living our best life.
Talk Soon.
You’ll have to bring some RCS swag! Hope some nice weather finds ya soon. If not, our sunny faces will warm you up in June!
That is for sure! Can’t wait to kiss all your sunny faces.
